A studio devoted to solo roleplaying games rooted in both history and imagination for fans of Jane Austen, the Netflix series, Bridgerton and other historical media – blending Regency-era settings, creative play and character-driven stories.

About Regency Games

Regency Games is a family-run establishment on the virtual high street in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. We specialise in role-playing games set in the cultural ‘long Regency’ era, from the late 1700s to the mid-1800s. Our games are steeped in historical detail and period flavour, but we’re not precious about perfect accuracy. If a small departure from the historical record creates a more engaging experience, we’ll take it.

We are avid tabletop gamers who enjoy a sociable evening in polite company attempting to best our rivals. However, we occasionally prefer a more individual experience. After searching hither and yon for the ideal solo game, we realised we should design our own. Learning from the best the ton has to offer, Regency Games creates games that:

  • offer rich, narrative choice, giving players agency combined with the necessary whimsy of dice rolls
  • excel in character-driven storytelling
  • blend traditional colouring-book creativity with narrative gameplay

Where Play Becomes Artefact

Every Regency Games title includes an integrated colouring component – not as decoration, but as part of the game itself.

As you play, you colour elements along the way: fashion plates, garden plans, travel scenes. These choices mark moments of influence, shifts in fortune, and the aesthetic decisions your character makes. Over time, you create a completed artefact, a tangible record of your story and the creativity you brought to it.

We design our games this way because solo roleplaying asks something precious from you: time, imagination, care. In return, we want to give you more than memories or notes; we want to give you an object you can keep, revisit, or share with others.

My Fashionable Season

In development

My Fashionable Season is our societal debut. Set in a richly imagined Regency England, this solo roleplaying game invites you to step into a world where fashion is more than adornment; it is power, reputation, and narrative momentum. You’ll advise others, make public commentary, set trends, and take risks that may attract admiration, scrutiny, or unintended attention. Success is never guaranteed, and failure is often as revealing as triumph.

At the heart of My Fashionable Season is a distinctive mechanic: colouring fashion plates inspired by real garments and styles from the early 19th century. Your aesthetic choices shape not only how your character is seen, but how society responds, influencing relationships, opportunities, and the tone of your story.

You’ll choose one of three compelling character paths – a Gentry Heiress, a Wealthy Merchant’s Daughter, or a War Widow – each with their own social position, pressures, and possibilities. Played over the course of a long London season, you’ll navigate the ton’s fickle fashion scene whilst attending salons, soirées, and assemblies. Society matrons can help or hinder; patrons can emerge from unexpected places to provide additional lift to your ambition.

My Fashionable Season blends historical inspiration, gentle strategy, and immersive narrative to create an experience that is reflective, creative, and deeply personal, one carefully chosen ribbon at a time.

Who Our Games Are For

Regency Games titles are designed for players who:

  • Love Jane Austen, Bridgerton, and other Regency-era settings, and want to explore life beyond the ballroom
  • Enjoy creative, contemplative play such as journaling, colouring, or narrative games
  • Prefer solo adventures they can play at their own pace
  • Appreciate character-driven stories where social dynamics matter as much as action

No prior roleplaying experience is required, and deep historical knowledge is never assumed. Our games guide you gently, inviting curiosity rather than testing expertise.
